Ok, I'm going to embarrass myself a little bit here and say just how much going backstage at my first Armani show meant to me. Growning up as a kid in Indiana during the eighties Giorgio Armani was my design hero, my Michael Jordan.

The press person tells me he will be ready shortly so I start getting my camera ready and I feel this big hug from the side and it is him—Giorgio Armani. He puts his hand on my face and says something in Italian which the translator says means "handsome face". Now I'm so f-ing nervous I cannot hold the camera still and the resulting shot is so shaky I cannot even use it. Eventually, I calmed down and spent time following him and watching him work. No wonder he is a billionaire—he really doesn't miss a thing.
