At Giorgio Armani

Ok, I'm going to embarrass myself a little bit here and say just how much going backstage at my first Armani show meant to me. Growning up as a kid in Indiana during the eighties Giorgio Armani was my design hero, my Michael Jordan.

The press person tells me he will be ready shortly so I start getting my camera ready and I feel this big hug from the side and it is him—Giorgio Armani. He puts his hand on my face and says something in Italian which the translator says means "handsome face". Now I'm so f-ing nervous I cannot hold the camera still and the resulting shot is so shaky I cannot even use it. Eventually, I calmed down and spent time following him and watching him work. No wonder he is a billionaire—he really doesn't miss a thing.

Hugged by Armani, wow! You can now sell whatever you were wearing for several hundred thousand on eBay Japan! I didn't know that the great man himself had a sister, she doesn't get involved like, for example, all the Missoni family do.

awesome the gray pants outfit, I love the shoes!
(allicblog.blogspot.com)

I have really been enjoying this!
This is like reality tv: people are more interested in what real people are doing(wearing) than a packaged version seen in stores or advertising.Everytime I am in Milan I pay attention to what people are wearing and how they are wearing it.
I love the fact you have fashionable and just plain interesting people of all ages, backgrounds. Now that is truly brilliant and inspired. And fresh and new.
Cannot wait 'til your next post!!!!

people in the real world are more intresting than on the runway and ad(boring both).

wait - hot off the presses- news on the streets of milan this fashion week- italians wearing button downs shirts and suits-- hey we got it -
could you be anymore uninspiring.

Another thing I love about this site is that it is very positive and it is not a bitchfest on peoples fashion flubs, but attractive and interesting people on the street and who he meets. If you don't like it, start your own blog.

must wear a suit ...must button my shirt... must not be honest , cannot be critical....must always be positive with my opinions

you are funny!
Sorry SS, did not want to censor you.
Love to hear what you think.
You go!

With a keen eye and ever-present camera, Scott Schuman—better known by his nom de blog, The Sartorialist—has developed a loyal fashion world following for his portraits of well-dressed New Yorkers. We decided to turn him loose on the streets of Milan and Paris during Fashion Week. Here's what he found.
