To me, this image is about one thing: the beautiful, textural sheen of a vicuña coat.

This new store focuses on knits by the Scottish company Drumohr, but it also carries a wide (and very good) selection of shoes by John Lobb, furnishings by E. Marinella, and unconstructed jackets by Kiton.

I love this flat-knit tie from E. Marinella.

Why? Because even though it's known as one of the most directional stores in the world, its owners are not afraid to celebrate classic brands like Charvet or Borsalino.

I saw my friend Luca Rubinacci at Pitti Uomo last week and I couldn't stop looking at his incredible coat. Apparently, it's made of vintage fabric. So when I got to Milan a few days later, I had to stop by his shop to take a closer look at his stash.
Like a sommelier for clothing nerds, Luca has a wide range of old (mostly English) fabrics that can be made into coats or jackets.

On vintage fabric, the selvage generally has no name woven into it (unlike newer suiting fabric).
