Will We Ever See His Like Again?

Canada's leader Stephen Harper didn't make my roundup of global leaders. But just to oblige blog reader mtcal, here's what I have to say about whom mtcal says "sucks at dressing." Harper is simply very, very dull looking. He's a corporate suit, a little zaftig around the edges, and when he goes casual he's as clueless and asexual as a defrocked priest. The only thing remarkable about him is an overly orderly hairdo that is completely, almost mysteriously windproof. That thing must be hairsprayed to gale-force strength.

Instead of looking at Harper—trust me, he's snoozeville—let's take a fond look at the late Pierre Trudeau, a man who ran Canada with genuine homegrown style. That's Trudeau on the right with the vested waistcoat.

He loved a boutonniere.

And when casual, he was definitely jazzy.

Thanks for the mention. I really enjoyed the articles on candidates and world leaders very funny and light hearted.

I suppose I could have phrased it better.
