GQ: The SartorialistHardly Square Terron Schaefer is one of the most stylish men I know. And he should be—he’s the senior VP of marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue. What’s interesting about him is that even though his taste might be described as classic, he always adds a devilish detail. One favorite is a twisted textured pocket square he bought in Japan. I’ve seen countless articles about the importance of color and pattern in pocket squares, but I don’t think I’ve ever read one about texture. The floral effect of this pocket square is achieved through shibori, the Japanese process of manipulating fabric to add shape and dimension. Terron bought his abroad, but I’ve seen them on the MoMA Design Store’s Web site for around $20. NEXT: How Terron does his thing. Photo: Scott Schuman |
