Q: I saw a picture recently of John Kerry wearing one of those silver-tipped faux cowboy belts. Ive also noticed Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, and pretty much every other pro golfer sporting them on the course. Whats up with them?
A: In the case of the fashion-conscious Senator Kerry, this may be where he plugs into the wall. As for the golfers, I dont know why they are into the silver-tip belts. I guess its sort of a cowboy thing, perhaps picked up from their vaquero brothers south of the border, where theres a great tradition of silversmithing. All I know is, its just one more damn place to get struck by lightning.
