Q: I like the look and feel of silk-knot cuff links, but I am worried that they appear too informal for certain occasions, such as company holiday parties and formal dinners. When are silk-knot cuff links acceptable, and when should I wear a more formal—i.e., silver—cuff link?
A: Dont confuse expensive with formal. Few cuff closures look more elegant than simple white or black silk knots.
