Q: I am six feet tall with a long torso and short legs. Is there anything I can do to dress better for my proportions?
A: Sure. Wear higher-rise trousers i.e., ones that are longer from crotch to waistband. American men tend to wear their trousers well below the waist. Try something closer to the navel. It worked for the dapper dressers of old Hollywood. Better manufacturers offer made-to-measure seasonally, at no extra cost, at better mens stores. Wearing trousers without cuffs might also give your legs a little imaginary length.
