Q: What are the rules for dressing for a funeral? I believe in wearing a dark suit with a plain white shirt and not wearing a red tie. Am I on the right track?
A: Youre dead-on. (Sorry.) A black suit is best, dark gray next, then dark navy. A white shirt is a necessity. A black or very dark subdued tie should be worn. A black tie is good to have in your wardrobe in any case.
