In Milan: Ferre tales

Ferre

Going into today's Gianfranco Ferré presentation, you really didn't know what to expect. The house lost its founder last year, and his replacement, Lars Nilsson, was out the door after just one season. This collection would be the creation of an anonymous in-house team. Not entirely auspicious. What I found was a pleasant surprise, featuring concepts cherry-picked from previous offerings, and some appealing monochrome suit looks, as well as sportier pieces augmented by architectural angles. I walked out, however, with the sharply sculpted sunglasses on my mind. By next spring, I believe I'll have a pair on my noggin.
