Decent gimmick, better camera
Nikon's much anticipated new D90 has a nice hook: It's the first DSLR that takes HD video. But given the price (a grand for the body; $1,300 with the lens) and the video quality (only 720p), it's probably better to, er, focus on how well it, you know, takes pictures. Judging from the specs, pretty well: Its 12.3-megapixel image sensororiginally found in Nikon's higher-end D3 and D700is paired with an ISO range that goes up to 6400. (Translation: reduced noise, which means sharper pictures.)
