One-hour video
The ever-competitive world of palm-size high-def camcorders has another new entry: the Aiptek 300. Its claim to fame? Costing just 250 bucks while shooting 1080p footage. (For comparison, Sony's tiny HDR-TG1 also shoots 1080p but goes for $900.) The camera holds about an hour of footage on a four-gig memory card, but be warned: As one Gizmodo commenter points out, you shouldn't expect your home movies to be as vivid as, say, NBC's Olympic coverage. (Go figure.) But for the price, you'd be hard pressed to do better.
