The nine films to know from the New York Film Festival
Oscar season continues its advance this Friday with the opening of this year's typically highbrow fest. On the docket: Mickey Rourke playing a pro wrestler, Benicio del Toro playing that guy from your kid brother's T-shirt, and Angelina Jolie playing, well, a MILF. (Sadly, press screenings of that last one don't start until October.) While we suffered through a couple of clunkersBullet in the Head had us wishing for one; Summer Hours proves that an Oliver Assayas flick without Asia Argento isn't worth watchingwe also found nine movies worth the price of admission.
