Tonight sees the opening of a joint art show from former Hole and Smashing Pumpkins bassist Melissa Auf der Maur and Conrad Keely, singer of ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. Auf der Maur's stills (pictured above) preview Out of Our Minds, her upcoming film, Web site, comic, and album concept—a bleak, woodsy, and instrumental endeavor that recalls both the works of Hanna Liden and the Blair Witch. "There aren't any words in it," she says. "It's about getting the hell out of your brain." Keely, meanwhile, is an accomplished illustrator in his own right, and will show his blue ballpoint pen drawings (below), the artwork from his band's untitled upcoming record. "I started selling prints and was inspired by the response," he recalls. "Now I'm getting a lot of requests, including from people who want me to design tattoos for them."
