Pretty in pink

It only follows that a guy who spends most of the day in his jammies is probably going to have a pretty nice house to lounge around in. That's certainly the case for Julian Schnabel, who designed his epically proportioned (and famously pink) New York residence and studio, the Palazzo Chupi, from the ground up. (The top floors, in fact, were wholesale additions to the original structure.) Schnabel occupies the Palazzo's lower levels, but the penthouse triplex has recently gone on the market for a mere $24 million, so when we got an invite to a brokers' preview, we had to see it for ourselves. (Penny-pinchers, take note: There's a slightly cheaper duplex on offer, too.)

What does $24 mil buy in these days? Seven terraces and balconies with unobstructed water and landmark views, 14-foot-plus ceilings, access to Schnabel's private pool, and two working fireplaces, the larger standing taller than most of the brokers. (One wandered in to check.) Despite the shaky economy, interest has been steady, though the asking price was recently reduced a second time. Even so, for eight figures, any prospective buyer is going to be... particular. So is the seller. Given a likely clash of egos, we had to wonder: Is the blessing of the famously truculent master required for purchase—perhaps a test of strength, or a drinking competition? One of the brokers working on the sale demurred with a laugh. This is, she reminded us, a condo.

Fat man, still thinks he is great. What arrogance and pompousness, still a victim of the 80's like halloween wig Donald Trump.

Hey Julian trump your turkey breasts now, Viva La buena banana Chupi!!!. Once your secret admirer, Nelsonian
