In addition to a 2-megapixel camera and up to 9 hours of talk time, the newest addition to Sony Ericsson's Walkman series comes—for reasons beyond our ability to comprehend—with a built-in pedometer. Perhaps more relevant to the average consumer, it also has the company's slick TrackID service, which identifies songs by recording and analyzing a few seconds of audio, and something called "Shake control," which dials up a new, randomly chosen song with a quick flip of the wrist. The iPhone doesn't have that—though the two phones do share one thing in common: Both require a cumbersome proprietary adapter to use third-party headphones.
