Pedaling around on a bike from Taiwanese powerhouse Giant, famous for its cheap, unremarkable two-wheelers, won't do much for your street cred, though it won't hurt the bottom line either. This streamlined three-speed is its most stylish offering—the DX edition even won an award at this year's California Design Biennial—though it's meant for casual riders only. Its ride is smooth but not speedy, and features a comfy (though heavy) suspension seatpost, as well as Shimano's Coaster automatic-shifting system, and, yes, a bell. Another odd inclusion: a holder for an mp3 player, which, frankly, sounds a bit dangerous.
