The Leica point-and-shoot is synonymous with style, class, and, of course, great pictures. So purists may find it a bit surprising that the C-Lux 2 is, well, a Panasonic: The C-Lux runs largely on the guts of Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FX07, which is not a horrible camera, to be sure, but it's also not quite a Leica—and it's about $200 cheaper. So what do you get for your extra cash? A sleek, Leica-branded case for one thing, and a two-year warranty (twice as long as the Panasonic's) for another. As a bonus, the C-Lux also comes with Adobe Photoshop. Which, unfortunately, you may end up regularly using to try to bring your snapshots up to Leica quality.
