Like the brand's FX35 model, the FX500 sports plenty of top-tier specs—a superwide-angle 25-mm lens, 720p HD video, face-detection technology, and "intelligent ISO," which means the camera automatically chooses the right level for your light. More notably, it's also the first market entry with a touch screen—hey, it worked for Apple—which lets you focus your shots or flip through photos with a swipe of your finger. (There's even an on-screen keyboard for naming pictures on the go.) Gimmicky? Maybe a little, but useful, as well—and the Leica glass (not to mention the aforementioned specs) is all business.
