Porsche Cayman S
Of all the Porsches on the block, the Boxster-based Cayman may well be the best looking. Its mid-engine layout negates the 911's not-so-subtle fanny-pack effect, while its muscular curves provide a more masculine alternative to thelet's face itdual-gender-friendly Boxster. And the Cayman doesn't just look more butch than its sibling: It boasts more horsepower295 versus 245plus a much stiffer chassis. And while those early claims of its being able to whup its big brother 911 on the track turned out to be a touch exaggerated, the Cayman delivers a much more balanced (i.e., mid-engine) ride while retaining that classic Porsche dual personality: An easy daily driver with the potential to pound the twisties to a pulp when you're in the mood.
