Volvo XC90 Sport

With its stolid styling and overly light, one-finger steering, the XC90 is easy to dismiss. Yet there's plenty here to like, including an airy, minimalist interior, and�of course�every conceivable safety system. Volvo's seats remain among the industry's best, near-orthopedic in their sculpting and support. The Sport version adds a 311-hp Yamaha V-8 and a mildly stiffened-up suspension. Ultimately, though, the XC is more about comfort than speed. It's as handy and trusty as a Swedish au pair�with less chance of wrecking your marriage.
