Sneer all you want at this Costco staple, but no one sells more flat-panel TVs than this California-based upstart—and not just because they're displayed right next to the 56-packs of Bumble Bee. Okay, proximity to obscene quantities of canned tuna may be a small part of the success story, but Vizios also happen to be pretty good TVs. If you're considering the brand, go with the Gallevia series. Design is straightforward and unpretentious, sound and picture quality, while not quite category-killing, are actually quite good, and it has nice touches like multiple HDMI inputs. And then there's the fact that you can get this 52-incher for the same price as the big guys' 45s. And really, who couldn't use a few extra inches?
