Back in 2000, Babolat—a French company that started out in the string business—decided to launch its racquet line in the U.S. Luckily for them, an up-and-comer named Andy Roddick took a shine to their Pure Drive model, and the rest, as they say, is history. The frame has consistently been one of the industry's best sellers. As you might expect given the player who popularized it, the Pure Drive is designed for heavy hitters who like to swing hard enough to pop out of their shoes, while still maintaining some semblance of control. Sadly, that doesn't necessarily mean your serves will top 155 mph.
