Don Julio

Don Julio
Yes, there actually was is a Don Julio, and he was born on the estate that bears his distillery's name. Mr. Julio is still alive and well, and his tipple is now Mexico's number-one top-shelf tequila. Being half-owned by Diageo helps on that front, but there's also considerable merit involved in earning the distinction. Aged 18 months in American oak barrels, the añejo exhibits a compelling combination of citrus, caramel, and butterscotch. In fact, its taste isn't all that dissimilar to brandy—so enjoy it after dinner, in a snifter.
