Penfolds Grange

If you're looking for a full-bodied red with plenty of power—and don't feel like paying Napa Valley mark-ups—check out the Grange from Penfolds. Hands down Australia's most renowned wine, it's nearly all Shiraz, with an aroma of earth and black fruit. It also has a fantastically long finish, lingering on the palate for up to several minutes. The 1999 is the current release, but these are monster wines and age forever—so don't hesitate to order an older vintage if you see one the list (provided, of course, you're feeling flush).
