In the annals of dubious distinctions, World's Greatest Merlot is up there. There's the famed Pomerol produced by Château Pétrus, but this supertasty Super Tuscan might give the Petrus a run for its money. A blockbuster of a wine, this one has notes of luscious black fruits, especially plums, with a touch of dark chocolate and mocha (in other words, best served in a massive glass). What's more, because the name's in Italian, you can get away with ordering the Tenuta dell'Ornellaia without letting on that it's a Merlot.
