Unheralded Qatar Airways has just launched a Newark to Doha route (with a fueling pit stop in Geneva) to showcase its flashy service. On display are 15-inch personal TV screens, leather-bound menus, Aigner amenity kits, and dinner served sans trolley (salads are even tossed to order, seat-side). Once you touch down in Qatar, linger in the airline's new $90-million "Premium Terminal," with its unflappable concierges, Jacuzzis, napping nooks, and even a PlayStation room. And all you booze hounds needn't worry: Liquor is indeed served on board (though you'll have to fend for yourself once you reach Doha).
