If you ask us, Virgin has always tried just a little too hard to be hip—remember that obnoxious "jetrosexual" campaign?—when the truth is, its Upper Class service more than speaks for itself. The Design Q–outfitted cabins are stylish without being garish, and we've overstayed our welcome at the onboard cocktail bar several times. Lie-flat sleepers, meanwhile, come with memory foam mattresses, and you just might be tempted to slip one of Virgin's duvets into your carry-on for home use. Those who actually need to get some work done will appreciate the in-seat computer plug-ins and noise-canceling headphones. And then there are the airline's new double-bed suites, available on select flights. (They're meant for sleeping, but...)
