Dalmore 12
The oldest bottle of whisky ever sold privately was a Dalmore from the sixtiesand it went for more than $50,000. Thankfully, this 12-year-old won't set you back anywhere near as much. In fact, with its trace of smoke and a weighty fruitiness, Dalmore may be one of the most underrated (and accordingly priced) single malts out there. That could be changing, though: The brand's parent company has just been bought by flamboyant Indian entrepreneur Vijay Mallya, and we highly doubt he went to the trouble without intending to raise its profile a bit.
