Johnnie Walker Green Label

Of the five colors of Johnnie Walker—red, black, green, gold, and blue—this is probably the least well known. For sheer value, however, Green Label may well be the best. A mixture of malts from different distilleries, the spirit is what's traditionally known as a "vatted malt"—as opposed to inferior blended whiskies, which mix malt spirits with those made from another grain—with all of its constituent quaffs aged at least 15 years. Since its introduction, Green Label has been promoted as a drink for the outdoor enthusiast. Not something we'd have thought of, but it's not totally off base—this is a zesty, sprightly, and easygoing whisky with acres of personality.
