Panerai Radiomir Rattrapante
Panerais are watches for man-size wristsno wonder they're so beloved by NFL players. But it was another group of guys (this one not quite so fearsome) that spurred the brand's genesis: The Italian navy. Before and during World War II, Panerai was the official watch supplier for the country's frogmen, seamen, and commandos. The Rattrapante model is noteworthy for its three chrono push pieces integrated into the case band, and for its precision controls, including a split-second timer. And you'll be glad to know the Radiomir bit is only a namecurrent models retain the name of the original proprietary glow-in-the-dark compound, but not its radioactivity.
