If only Le Mans were as thrilling as the timepiece Steve McQueen wore while steering his Porsche 917 throughout the film. Launched in 1969 with a blue and orange-accented dial sporting the Gulf+Western logo, the Monaco was billed as the world's first square water-resistant timepiece. It was reissued in 1998, and remains an impeccably designed, rubber-burning classic—Team McLaren's aces (Juan Pablo Montoya and Kimi Räikkönen included) each wear one while competing.
