Helmut Lang
Although Lang abandoned fashion for art (and farminghe now raises pet chickens at his East Hampton mansion), his label has found new life with Habitual founders Michael and Nicole Colovos at the helm. The latest Lang jeans have the same pared-down aesthetic as the old, but the fit is a tad more forgiving. Identifying factors include ringspun denim, with flecks of white in the weave, and a plain dark-gray stripe above the back right pocket. Subtle by normal standards, though one assumes that hyperminimalist Helmut would've found such adornment unforgivably excessive.
