The jeans from Polo alumnus Simon Spurr are great if you want the look, but not the feel, of raw denim, especially in a more forgiving fit. Spurr's jeans (identifiable via their unique yellow selvedge) are remarkably soft for unwashed denim—the result of a fabric that's 50 percent pima cotton. They're not cheap, but unlike certain other brands, they offer quality as well as cachet.
