Malin + Goetz Sage Styling Cream

Not for the faint of heart, this is the most fragrant of the products we tested—whether you love it or hate it depends largely on how comfortable you are with the concept of smelling like an herb garden. (No word from the lady stylists we quizzed on whether that's a turn-on.) If you can get beyond the vegetal aroma—a powerful combo of chamomile, verbena, sweet almond extract, and, yes, sage—M+G's silky cream is a great choice for longer or curly hair. It conditions and smoothes, though it doesn't give much hold.
